At Flavour Comfort Café, we strongly believe in the importance of mental health and raising awareness in our community. In partnership with POC Therapy CIC, we invite you to join us for Therapy Thursday!
On Thursdays, you can drop in and speak with a qualified counselor to learn more about counseling services, including how to get referred to appropriate therapy based on your individual needs, whether you are on a low income or can afford to pay. We offer a tailored service that assesses your situation and connects you with the right counselor, whether that's for traditional counseling, CBT, or life coaching.
Our holistic approach recognizes that mental health is multifaceted and that different individuals benefit from both short-term and long-term therapy. We are proudly sponsored by the National Lottery Community Fund and are excited to announce a new project launching on Monday, May 19th, 2025. This six-week workshop series aims to improve social anxiety, build self-awareness, and boost confidence.
Classes will run most Monday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Each session includes an hour and a half of activity followed by a half-hour group session where we will explore and discuss feelings and insights shared during the activities.
It is essential that each participant is allocated to a counselor for the duration of the six sessions, and maintaining these weekly sessions is a key requirement for the completion of the course.
If you find it difficult to socialize, feel misunderstood, or experience intense emotions that impact your daily life and relationships, we encourage you to participate in our workshops. The cost for this course is £150, working out to just £12.50 per hour. Spaces are limited, and each session includes a gift bag and you can have a free hot or cold drink from our Cafe and a small snack.
